History of our Website
Who do you think our first Webmaster Geek was? I’ll bet you would never have guessed Chip Kreiger. Chip started our first website over 10 years ago using “Microsoft Front Page”. The programs back then were not as user friendly as we have in 2015. He created pages that could be updated as games were completed. After mastering the program turned it over to Geek number two, that would be Phil Rose. After a while it became apparent that updating standings, scores, announcements and all that we do today was too complicated and Phil needed outside help. An outside firm was hired to help but they soon became too expensive for a recreational softball league.
George Wesoloski joined the league in 2001 and became the manager of Champions in 2006, a position he held up through 2015. George became the new Webmaster a short time after joining the league and remained in that position for over 10 years. The software was an Apple based product and functioned extremely well over the years. George added many, if not all of the sections that we now see today on our website. We owe Manager George a big “Thank you”. Dr. George is in constant demand for his expertise in the health and care of chickens. He is often to be found in South America serving his clients. Even with his heavy business schedule he was able to do an amazing job for the league.

In November of 2015 the board became concerned that we should reach out into our membership and encourage more people to become involved in managing the league. Brad Van Amberg, league Treasurer, encouraged Gary Kohunsky to take over the role of Webmaster for the league. During the transition period Brad changed to a more contemporary and user friendly software known as Weebly. Brad had been using the software for his real estate business for over three years and was able to move nearly all of George's web pages and work over to the new system. A few new pages and ideas were added at this time.
